Our coast
The Citron Coast extends across Calabrian coast for 30km and faces Tyrrenian Sea, also known as High Calabrian Tyrrenian Sea. In these lands ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Lombardics, Arabians and also Normans, Angevins and Aragons brought elements of various civilizations, which were then grafted with beneficial effects on local cultures.
The coast is named after Citron, which dresses in green the valleys of ancient rivers and loads of myths and legends: they come down from the mountains which frames one of the most beautiful Calabrian coasts, embellished buy stunning cliffs with creative names.
The coast comprises 22 municipalities between Tortora and Paola, also including a piece of the mountain area immediately located behind the coast with, in which there are small towns a few kilometers far away from the coast and for this reason very easy to reach. The turquoise sea with wide beaches which alternates to steep cliffs, wild mountains with caves, canyons and rushing streams that form waterfalls flowinf through pristine forests.
